Modbus/TCP
Modbus/TCP is a protocol for serial communication between a host computer and I/O modules.
The main advantage of Modbus/TCP is that it eliminates the need for a PC/LINUX platform. With the use of Modbus/TCP PLC can communicate with terminal modules on Modbus RTU and/or TCP/IP platforms such as Windows, Linux, OS2.
The main disadvantage of Modbus/TCP is that it does not support international protocols.
